Sherrin Fielder

Sherrin Fielder, CPA, CFE

Sherrin has been practicing as a certified public accountant since 1990. She earned her bachelor degree from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, MI. Sherrin began her career with Touche Ross (Deloitte & Touche) in Detroit and Ann Arbor, MI., where she acquired invaluable experience auditing manufacturing, advertising, real estate, and non-profit clients. In the Ann Arbor MI office she gained experience with a wide scope of taxation issues. While she found the national firm provided an excellent background, it was her personal desire, passion and focus to service the small family owned business and the needs of its owners. She then joined a local Ohio firm Haessler & Associates in Sylvania, OH and continued her experience with Lund & McSweeney in Grass Valley, CA. Both firms provided a mix of technical excellence with personal service that allowed Sherrin to pursue her career goals. In addition, these firms continued the opportunity to work on audits of financial statements for commercial, governmental and non-profit clients. In 1997, she joined Al Sonnenberg in Carnelian Bay, CA and together they formed the Fielder & Sonnenberg, LLP partnership in 1999. This setting allowed Sherrin to further develop, enhance and solidify her practice with the focus on being a trusted family advisor to her clients. Fielder & Sonnenberg, LLP had a strong emphasis on restaurants, real estate and homeowners associations as well as practice management techniques. In 2009, Sherrin relocated her practice as a sole practitioner to Truckee where she currently lives.

Sherrin's practice philosophy stems from her array of professional experiences and having successfully incorporated the Large Corporate Firm research and resource ideology into her daily practice. By retaining key relationships through networking and professional collaboration, Sherrin has been able to provide affordable, high-level service to her clients in a comfortable and confident environment.

Sherrin is licensed as a CPA in California, Nevada, Michigan, Ohio, and Hawaii. She is a member of the AICPA and the CALCPA.

Sherrin is also certified by The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) as an CFE.
